Meet Eleatta

I am drawn to the joy of curiosity and discovery. Whether I'm working with tea stains, paint, or collage, I love seeing what unexpected stories might be waiting to be found.

Sharing my personal creative practice, ‘Tea Bag Tales’ online with people who delight in finding unexpected wonder has become a great delight for me.

Shared moments of imagination are one of my favorite parts of creating.

I live in North Carolina with my husband of over four decades, where life is shared with family, our cat, named Nessie, and a studio that's rarely short of the possibilities that stains and smudges offer.

Following wonder

Every piece begins with curiosity.

Stains, smudges, and scraps of paper offer faint suggestions of imagery.

I simply respond to the clues, one small discovery at a time, until the story begins to reveal itself.

Creating often begins with a beautiful mess.

A splash or stain is the starting point.

Thank you for spending a little time here.

My favorite discoveries begin by looking a little longer at stains, splashes, and smudges—finding surprising stories and unexpected images that someone else might simply pass by.

Over time, I've realized that this way of creating has quietly become a way of living. Curiosity has a way of changing what we notice, and what we notice has a way of changing us.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to step into my world of creative play. I hope our paths cross again soon.

Hi friend!

Let's keep discovering together.

You’ll find little stories behind the images that emerge in my studio.
