Sometimes we move through the day without really looking.

Our eyes recognize streets, trees, walls, clouds, and faces so quickly that we stop noticing the details hidden within them.

Yet when we pause, something interesting happens.

A pattern in stone begins to resemble a bird. A shadow takes the shape of a face. The texture of a leaf reveals an unexpected landscape.

These moments are known as pareidolia — the mind's natural tendency to find familiar forms in randomness.

But perhaps they are more than a visual trick.

Perhaps they are reminders that wonder still exists in places we thought we already understood.

Today, take a slower walk.

Look a little longer.

Notice what appears.
